SK Vietnam on Wednesday donated 100 SARS-CoV-2 test kit sets, which can be used for 10,000 tests, to the Department of Health under Ha Noi People’s Committee in order to support the city's efforts in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic.
The donated test kits were produced by Seegene Inc, a leading manufacturer of SARS-CoV-2 test kits in South Korea, and have been confirmed by Viet Nam National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology to be highly sensitive and specific, and are allowed to be used for testing for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Viet Nam.
Speaking at the hand-over ceremony, Tran Thi Nhi Ha, deputy director of Ha Noi Department of Health said: “We highly appreciate the donation, which demonstrates SK’s social responsibility in Ha Noi in particular and Viet Nam in general. This is extremely valuable and practical support that helps us conduct more tests in the community.”
Koh Jong Hwan, Ha Noi Representative of SK Vietnam, said that: “We highly appreciate the effective efforts and timely actions of the Vietnamese Government and Ha Noi administration in controlling the COVID-19 epidemic in the past months. SK Vietnam commits to accompany the Vietnamese Government and Ha Noi administration in the activities to control the epidemic for the sustainable development and prosperity of Ha Noi as well as Viet Nam.”
