E-commerce platform Shopee plans to join hands with HCM City and provinces across the country to deploy solutions for economic and social recovery to support sellers recovering from the impacts of COVID-19.

It has announced a partnership with the HCM City Tourism Promotion Centre to launch an app-based tourism initiative to help tourism businesses adapt to the new situation and gradually recover.

They can start their business on Shopee and promote their products. Shopee will organise training courses for travel agents in effectively engaging users.

Shopee has also partnered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and HCM City Department of Industry and Trade to organise the ‘Viet Nam Grand Sale 2021’ and ‘Shopping Season 2021’ programmes from November 15 to January 1.

Users can find products with discounts of up to 90 per cent.

Shopee has co-ordinated with the department to organise an online seminar on how to bring local products to its platform.

It also announced its annual 12.12 birthday sale, saying it has brought fun to users through exciting giveaways and exclusive content, and this year users could expect even more entertainment and engagement.

There will be 50 per cent discounts, free shipping on all orders, the chance to win a car.

In partnership with Agoda, Shopee has created a hotel-booking function for tourism destinations across Vietnam, and users can look for discount vouchers of up to VND300,000 when booking a hotel room at Agoda.

There are more deals lined up for people paying with ShopeePay. — VNS
