Smart Net Trading Service Co., Ltd, the owner of e-wallet SmartPay, has signed an agreement with Sendo to deploy the payment app on the latter’s e-commerce platforms.
To mark the tie-up, Sendo is offering users attractive incentives including discounts of 50 per cent when paying by SmartPay.
Le Anh Huy, deputy director of Sendo, said: “Co-operating with SmartPay helps Sendo get closer to the goal of promoting cashless payments on the platform. With the advantages of SmartPay e-wallet and attractive promotions that Sendo and SmartPay bring to customers, we believe Sendo users will be very excited about this new payment option.”
In the first eight months of this year, the rate of non-cash payments on the platform exceeded 50 per cent.
After expanding to 5,000 payment acceptance points and launching Credit Line with zero per cent interest and Tap to Pay, the co-operation with Sendo is SmartPay's latest strategic decision.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to strong digital transformation.
According to the Vietnam E-commerce Association, in 2020 e-commerce grew by 15 per cent to around US$13.2 billion. — VNS
