DONG NAI (Biz Hub) – Financial leasing company Home Credit Viet Nam and the Institute for Education Research last week awarded scholarships of VND1 million ($47) each to 325 pre-school children of workers working in industrial parks and export processing zones in the southern province of Dong Nai.
The "Blossoming Buds" scholarships have so far been awarded to 1,000 children in Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and HCM City.
Earlier Home Credit had filed a claim with Bao Minh Joint Stock Company for a customer named Thach Tha of Tra Vinh Province who had died after buying a motorbike on hire purchase.
The two companies went on to give scholarships worth VND5 million ($240) each to his two children. — VNS
