Samsung Electronics has the largest share of the country’s refrigerator market, Kim Cheol Gi, its general director in Viet Nam, said.

He was speaking on Thursday at the launch of a new model, which the company said is its first bottom-mounted refrigerator in Asia and designed specifically for the Vietnamese market.

Refrigerators are called bottom- or top-mounted depending on the freezer’s location.

The company said the new product would help it maintain its leadership in the market.

Vietnamese consumers would be the first one in the world to use the new fridge, it said.

Its price will range from VND9.89 million to VND18.39 million depending on size, which ranges from 280 litres to 458 litres.

The company has announced a promotion to mark the launch from September 20 to 30.

Customers ordering the new fridge on 12 online website will get Samsung Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J8. VNS
