HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Saigon Co.op has earmarked VND200 billion (US$8.97 million) to promote sales of Vietnamese high-quality products under a programme called "Proud of Vietnamese Goods".
To go on from August 27 to September 18 at all Co.opmart and Co.opXtra outlets, the programme will consist of six distinct promotions, including discounts of up to 50 per cent on thousands of essential products, a "special prices" programme on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and offering customers moon cakes to taste and teaching them how to make them.
Vo Hoang Anh, Saigon Co.op's marketing director, said this would be the 19th Proud of Vietnamese Goods programme, which enables customers to buy products with clear origins, assured quality and best rates.
Saigon Co.op would also organise 160 mobile sales trips to rural areas, industrial parks and export processing zones, he told the media in HCM City on Monday.
The retailer achieved revenues of VND13.4 trillion (US$600.9 million) in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 12.4 per cent. — VNS
