Sai Gon Hi-tech Park on May 20 signed an agreement with Pomax Joint Stock Company to provide a silver nano compound to be used for dry hand-sanitiser gel, based on a patent developed by the park's Research and Development Centre.
Ngo Vo Ke Thanh, head of the centre, said it had registered intellectual property rights for the silver nano compound.
The centre’s challenge was to use technology to make the compound in large amounts to meet commercial demand.
A representative of the research group said the silver nano compound is environmentally friendly and destroys 99 per cent of bacteria.
Nguyen Anh Thi, head of SHTP’s management board, said the park would co-operate with domestic enterprises to produce other hi-tech products. — VNS
