Sacombank signs agreement with Temenos, HiPT for omnichannel banking platform

Sacombank signed an agreement on November 8 with Temenos and HiPT for installing the former’s omni-channel banking platform, marking an important milestone in providing an outstanding customer experience, strengthening its digital capabilities and advancing its comprehensive digitisation goal.

The successful installation will enable Sacombank to build a seamless experience between its existing multi-channel applications and between these applications and various third-party ecosystems.

It will not only deliver greater convenience and an improved experience to customers, but also help the bank better understand customers' behaviours and needs so as to develop appropriate financial solutions and creative marketing campaigns, and accurately anticipate the potential needs of customers.

Sacombank said choosing to cooperate with Temenos, a market-leading core banking solution provider based in Switzerland, and HiPT, one of the leading IT companies in Viet Nam, demonstrates the importance of the project and its efforts to implement its digital transformation strategy.

Speaking at the signing event, Bui Van Dung, deputy CEO of the bank, said Sacombank always places customer satisfaction first in all activities. Installation of the omni-channel banking platform is necessary for Sacombank to improve its products and services and customer service quality, and would help the bank catch up with global technological trends.

Craig Bennett, managing director, Asia-Pacific, for Temenos, said, based on many years of cooperation between the two sides, Temenos is confident it can understand the needs and goals of Sacombank when implementing the omni-channel.

Since establishing its Digital Transformation Centre last year, Sacombank has increasingly demonstrated its determination to go digital with a series of key projects that were and are being implemented, like the omni-channel banking platform.

Its digital transformation activities span many areas such as using technology in products and services, enhancing safety and security, data analysis, and management and operational reform.

The bank is a pioneer in launching Sacombank Mastercard Only One international card, a one-chip debit and credit card. It was also the first bank in the country to launch Visa Direct Outbound that enables Sacombank Visa Debit cardholders to transfer money to Visa cards issued by any overseas bank.

Sacombank constantly encourages its employees to explore and innovate working methods to create a new, smarter and more convenient process to achieve optimal results through new tools such as agile thinking, culture hacking and others.
