Sacombank and Dai-ichi Life Vietnam were honoured with the award for Best Bancassurance Provider Vietnam 2022 from Global Banking and Finance Review, a leading international finance magazine based in the UK.

The prestigious annual award aims to honour companies and business leaders globally for their outstanding achievements in bancassurance activities.

Previously, the two companies were named the Most Trusted Bancassurance Provider Vietnam for 2021 by Finance Derivative, a financial and business analysis magazine from the Netherlands.

More than five years after entering an exclusive partnership, the bancassurance services offered by Sacombank and Dai-ichi Life Vietnam have achieved many impressive results, providing financial protection solutions for more than 460,000 Sacombank customer families who have paid total premiums of nearly VND7.9 trillion (US$317 million) as of September 30, 2022. Meanwhile, the partnership has paid out VND215 billion ($8.7 million) in insurance benefits to more than 6,000 customers.

In addition to impressive business results, Sacombank's insurance policy retention ratio for a second year reached nearly 90 per cent, underlining the bank’s consulting and customer care quality.

The two companies have also strengthened training for skills and ethics for insurance consultants, offered attractive policies, and adopted technology to sell insurance products to deliver the best experience to customers.

This month, the two firms cooperated to implement a charity programme with a budget of VND1.75 billion ($70,364) to support people with difficult circumstances nationwide, especially students in remote areas, children with cancer, and poor patients in need of eye cataract surgery.

Previously, at the ceremony to celebrate the fifth year of their exclusive partnership on October 21 in HCM City, the two businesses donated VND1.5 billion to the Fund for the Poor in HCM City.

In addition, they have carried out many practical and meaningful community activities in the past five years such as gifting houses, sponsoring school clean water programmes and giving away thousands of scholarships to students with difficult circumstances valued at over VND5 billion ($201,293). — VNS
