Roche Vietnam recently organised an annual fundraising event - the Roche Children's Walk - in Ha Noi, Da Nang and HCM City on May 20.
With the theme "Celebrating Life," the event coincides with Roche Global's 125-year anniversary celebration, marking the 15th consecutive year of the Roche Children's Walk in Viet Nam.
This year, the event attracted more than 190 employees nationwide to participate in the walk.
"5km is the distance that children in Malawi or some remote areas in Viet Nam have to walk to school every day. By completing this meaningful walk together, we would like to play our part in supporting underprivileged children on their journey toward a better education and brighter future," said Lennor Carrillo, General Director of Roche Pharma Vietnam.
Employees participating in Roche Children's Walk also donated money to support children in need globally and Viet Nam through direct donation or flea market activities. Employee donations are company matched and used to help children around the globe through the legally independent charity Roche Employee Action and Charity Trust (Re&Act).
"This fundraising event also exemplifies Roche's mission to improve people's lives and our commitment to long-term sustainable development in Viet Nam and throughout the world," said Qadeer Raza, General Manager of Roche Vietnam. — VNS
