Le Diep Kieu Trang, CEO of Gojek’s Viet Nam affiliate GoViet, has quit her post after just five months.
This is the second departure from the same role in less than a year. Trang’s predecessor, Nguyen Vu Duc, left in March along with chief growth officer Nguyen Bao Linh.
GoViet has confirmed her exit on zing.vn.
“When we start out on a journey with new leadership, it is always with the best of intentions,” a spokesperson of this ride-hailing firm said.
“However, after five months at the company, Trang has decided to take a different path. We always work hard to find a mutually agreeable way forward but were unable to do so in this instance, so we wish her the best in her future endeavours.”
Go-Viet launched more than a year ago and provides three services, Go-Bike (two-wheelers), Go-Send (transporting goods), Go-Food (food delivery). It has not yet launched Go-Car 4-wheel transport service or Go-Pay electronic payment.
Prior to this position, Trang was the country director of Viet Nam for Facebook as well as a co-founder of Misfit Wearables, a smartwatch maker that was acquired by Fossil Group for US$260 million in 2015. — VNS
