Prof Dr Pham Nhu Hiep, director of the hospital, said: “Hygiene and disinfection at hospitals treating COVID-19 patients play a very important role in providing a safer working environment for medical staffs and making treatment being more convenient.”
Hospitals use Dettol liquid for wiping floors and other hard surfaces, disinfecting skin wounds and personal hygiene.
Soren Bech, general director of Reckitt Vietnam, said: “Since the epidemic broke out last year, Dettol has been present in many hospitals.”
The company earlier donated more than 500ml bottles of Dettol disinfectant, equivalent to nearly 6,000 litres, to various medical centers and hospitals nationwide.
When the fourth wave of the epidemic hit HCM City and other provinces and cities, Reckitt donated medical supplies to seven hospitals.
The company has also gradually presented 16,470 3M-KF94 medical masks, 150,000 four-layer medical masks and 9,000 personal protective equipment to hospitals in many provinces and cities. — VNS
