Phu Nhuan Jewelry JSC has again been named among Viet Nam’s top 50 brands by Forbes Viet Nam.
The US magazine estimated the company’s brand value in 2020 at US$94.1 million, up $15.5 million from the review period last year and three places to 21st.
PNJ retained its first position among companies in the personal consumer goods industry.
The total value of this year’s list is more than $12.6 billion, up 22 per cent from 2019.
The list is based on Forbes’ methodology in the US, which calculates the contribution of the brands to companies’ business performance, average industry price-earnings ratio and brand coverage and consumer awareness among others.
The calculation is based on the financial statements put out by companies.
PNJ has been big on expanding its network.
Its net profit has increased sharply in recent years, reaching VND1.193 trillion (US$51.4 million) last year.
Its brand got a boost when it met US media giant Walt Disney's requirements and became a partner.
Even more impressively, it was voted the best retailer in the jewellery industry by Jewellery News Asia, the leading jewellery magazine in Southeast Asia, last year. — VNS
