The Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company’s charity fund has given gifts worth a total of VND408.2 million (US$18,061) to 770 poor people and people with disabilities in HCM City to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year).
The beneficiaries of its “Dinh Dau 2017 Lovely Spring” programme live in Phu Nhuan and Go Vap districts or are members of the Phu Nhuan District Blind Association or its own staff.
On the occasion, PNJ’s Trade Union handed over VND3.5 billion ($154,867) contributed by the company’s staff to the fund.
Last year the fund spent nearly VND6 billion ($265,486) on community activities, including building houses for disadvantaged people. — VNS
