The first trans-Viet Nam journey by Co.opmart’s truck with Vietnamese goods on board, a highlight of the Proud of Vietnamese Goods 2017 programme, has completed its mission of spreading the love for Vietnamese goods in all three regions of the country.

The truck began the trip from the southernmost province of Ca Mau, passed through many provinces and cities in the southern, central and northern regions and finished in Thai Nguyen Province.

Over the course of more than 2,200 kilometres, from delta to coast, from countryside to city, the trip received the active support of people of all ages and from all backgrounds.

Thu Loan, a resident of Vo Nhai District, Thai Nguyen Province, said: "Thanks Co.opmart for a very interesting activity. I believe that the spirit of supporting Vietnamese goods is present in every Vietnamese. Through Co.opmart I hope to use many Vietnamese products with good quality, prestige and competitive prices."

A total of over 20,000 gifts sponsored by Nam Duong sauce, Xuan Hong, Co.opmart’s own brands, Kinh Do Mondelez, Vinacacao, Unilever Vietnam, PepsiCo Vietnam and others were given to local residents en route, helping Co.opmart win lots of affection and a warm welcome from residents.

The little joy people got from the gifts has helped Vietnamese goods draw closer to Vietnamese than ever.

The Co.opmart’s first trans-Viet Nam journey under the Proud of Vietnamese Goods – 20 years of impressive journey programme may have ended, but Co.opmart in particular and Saigon Co.op’s other retail brands remain firmly and consistently, as well as innovative, on the path to becoming launch pads for Vietnamese goods. — VNS
