Iflix, a TV show and movie online service, was officially rolled out in the Vietnamese market on Tuesday.

According to David Godstein, Head of Asia, Iflix, the firm, which has a large library of latest domestic and foreign films and TV shows, has currently three million customers. It is expected to have one billion customers by 2020.

The firm will make available films in a number of genres, including action, adventure, comedy, documentary, drama, fantasy, horror, lifestyle and children. Its content will be censored by Vietnamese authorised bodies.

Inflix is expected to be the top supplier of films online in Viet Nam. “We have no plans to make available the films at the same time that they are released in cinema. Customers can download and watch the films of their choice whenever they want. It is a different experience,” he said.

Inflix has co-operated with more than 170 film production and distribution units for this service. Vietnamese customers can watch the films with Vietnamese or English subtitles. People can register at http://iflix.com for 30 days of free service.

Viet Nam is Iflix's ninth market since it began operations more than a year ago. Other markets include Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Pakistan. It plans to expand its business in Myanmar, Middle East and South Africa.
