NovaGroup supports poor people to build new homes

NovaGroup has recently presented over VND6.8 billion to Vinh Long Province to support the construction of houses for local people.

With the support of NovaGroup, about 114 houses will be built for poor households in the province.

The donation is part of the “For the Poor” programme which is organised by the Viet Nam National Fatherland Front to commemorate the late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet on the 100th year of his birthday.

Tran Thi Phung from Vung Liem District of Vinh Long Province said that her family was so happy to be chosen one of the households to receive a house.

“We are old and we can't afford to build a house. We have lived in a poor-condition house for a long time. Now, my family is going to have my house re-built. We are so happy,” she said.

Construction of the houses is one of many acts of support that NovaGroup has done for the community during its 30 years of operation.

To date, NovaGroup has contributed over VND1 trillion for CSR programmes such as the Teacher Nhe scholarship, free surgery for children with heart diseases, clean water for schools, reducing and colleting plastic waste, Green Up Viet Nam and building schools for disadvantaged children. — VNS
