HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — CM The New World Saigon Hotel has donated VND552 million (US$26,285) to the UK-based Christina Noble Children's Foundation to provide medical care, nutrition and education for disadvantaged children.

The donation, the largest-ever received by the foundation, was raised from the sale of auction items and tickets to a gala dinner held by the hotel last month on its 20th anniversary celebration.

The gala dinner was one of several activities carried out by the hotel to support children in need, especially those supported by the Christina Noble foundation.

The foundation, which opened in 1991 in Viet Nam, has helped thousands of children and their families lead healthier, happier and independent lives.

It has developed over 100 projects providing health services, education and community support for thousands of children in HCM City and southern Viet Nam. — VNS
