Saigon Co-op, the country’s leading retailer, opened a Co.opmart supermarket at the Phuoc Dong Industrial Park in Tay Ninh Province, the 102nd outlet in the country and fifth in the province.
The 1,800sq.m store, which cost more than VND30 billion (US$1.29 million), stocks more than 30,000 items like fresh and processed foods, cosmetics, clothes, and household utensils, 90 per cent of which are high-quality Vietnamese products.
Like all other Co.opmart outlets, it sells price-stabilised goods and others with clear origins.
At the opening last week Co.opmart donated VND50 million to the Go Dau District Fatherland Front Committee.
To mark its opening, the store has launched promotions until November 30, with discounts of up to 50 per cent on thousands of essential items and hundreds of attractive gifts to shoppers.
Customers with a bill worth at least VND300,000 can win attractive lucky draw prizes like a Honda SH Mode 2018 scooter, Hitachi fridge, Samsung HD TV, 3D Nove stainless steel cookware set and others. — VNS
