MUJI, the renowned Japanese home-and lifestyle-goods company, announced its first flagship store in Ha Noi will open on Saturday in Vincom Center Metropolis.
The firm opened its first in HMC City last November.
The store in Ha Noi offers a wide range of high-quality products. Through a careful selection of environment-friendly materials, streamlining manufacturing processes, and simplifying its packaging, MUJI can provide good quality products at a reasonable price.
Some items are cheaper when purchased in Viet Nam due to their origin from local manufacturers.
Reflecting MUJI's concept of "a Simple, Pleasant Life", the flagship store in Ha Noi says it is capable of delivering more than products. It’s a new lifestyle that many people are longing for. More than 5,000 products with “no-brand”, simple, practical designs from the store are expected to enable customers to embrace the feeling that they are at home but still a part of nature.
The store will have special features such as a coffee counter serving a selection of fine tea, coffee, bread, pastries and Japanese confectionery. It also offers a wide range of fresh, high quality, and healthy vegetables and fruits. Besides, at the store, customers can experience an embroidery service by selecting their favourites from more than 300 designs and letterings, and having them embroidered in a simple fabric item.

Tetsuya Nagaiwa, General Director of MUJI Vietnam, said: "Despite COVID-19's broader impact on the global economy, we have been trying our best to sustain our business to continue to serve our customers. After HCM City, we are thrilled to make a new journey of MUJI in Ha Noi, bringing a simple, pleasant life to Vietnamese customers as well as contributing to local communities. We wish to connect and evolve together with each of the Vietnamese people to the creation of a better quality of life.”
MUJI's flagship store in Ha Noi was designed using the concrete of the building frame as much as possible. By avoiding wastage, this conveys the beauty of the store’s design and function. Using a combination of old wood, normal wood and antique Vietnamese crossbeams at key points, the store also creates a warm, quiet, and relaxing space for customers to experience the shopping.
