Snack company Mondelēz Kinh Do Vietnam has launched the Oreo chocolate pie, the first time the popular biscuit is made in a pie version anywhere in the world.
"Oreo is a global phenomenon, and we are excited to introduce the brand to the pie market for the first time in Viet Nam,” Hemant Rupani, the company’s managing director, said.
“In keeping with our commitment to the Vietnamese consumer this is a global first launch designed for the local market. We believe the Oreo pie with its right balance of softness, light sweetness and youthful image will connect well with consumers."
According to AC Nielsen, Mondelez Kinh Do ranks first in the country’s biscuits market.
Mondelez Kinh Do's combined portfolio includes Kinh Do, Cosy, Solite, AFC, LU, Oreo, Ritz, Slide, Halls, Trident, Cadbury, Toblerone, and Tang. — VNS
