HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Family Medical Practice has announced it will put into operation a 24/7 emergency response service starting on October 1.
The service, to cost around US$1.2 million to start with, is based on ProQAtechnology from international EMR supplier Priority Dispatch, which is deployed in over 52 countries.
Dr Rafi Kot, FMP founder, said when people press *9999, professionals will, keep constant contact with people at the scene of the incident, asking questions to provide advice on how to manage the victim before dispatching medical professionals in an ambulance to bring the victim to the most suitable facility. FMP has six modern ambulances that can sustain life for up to 72 hours, and another four are expected to arrive in November, Kot said.
Initially the service will cover HCM City's Districts 1, 2, 3, Binh Thanh, and Phu Nhuan, and city-wide expansion is planned next year.— VNS
