Manulife Vietnam’s Khoi Dau Bao Ve has won the bronze medal for Best Brand in eCommerce in Banking or Financial Services at the 2020 Asia eCommerce Awards.

Given away by Marketing magazine and judged by an independent panel of marketers and industry experts, the Asia eCommerce Awards are designed to recognise excellence in eCommerce across South Asia, Southeast Asia and the ANZ regions.

Commenting on the win, Marilyn Wang, Manulife Vietnam's chief marketing officer, said, “This kind of recognition reaffirms our commitment to delivering digital and customer-centric solutions and experiences that also demonstrate a focus on e-commerce excellence.”

Only available on e-commerce platform Shopee, the product offers a mix of life insurance benefits and health protection.

It offers a millennial audience their first taste of getting valuable protection, and the simplicity of the customer experience also helps ensure more people can benefit from insurance, the company said in a release.

At Manulife’s shop on Shopee, customers have to select a package, fill out a one-page form, answer a few health questions, add to the cart, and make the payment.

Wang said: “We believe that buying health protection should be just as simple as the purchase of any other modern convenience. Manulife Vietnam’s e-commerce partnership with Shopee has exposed [our] brand to a new, younger more digitally savvy audience.” — VNS
