LOTTE Mart last week donated VNĐ200 million (US$8,609) to Operation Smile for performing surgeries for more than 20 children with cleft lips and palates.
The surgeries will be done at the HCM City University Medical Centre in September and cost VNĐ7 million on average.
This is the fourth time LOTTE Mart is sponsoring Operation Smile.
Kang Min Ho, general director of Lotte Mart Vietnam, called joining hands with Operation Smile an “honour” for his company.
The donation comes from the Korean company’s charity, Choice L Foundation Fund.
Last March the supermarket had funded free surgeries for 20 children with cleft lips and palates at the HCM City University Medical Centre. — VNS
