KIDO Group said it exceeded its plan for this year's mid-autumn festival, producing over 300 tonnes of mooncakes.
The target was 300 tonnes and KIDO aimed to become the second largest mooncake producer in the country, the group said.
Tran Le Nguyen, the company’s general director, said that KIDO’s Bakery mooncakes were sold out in the entire country. To meet the increasing demand, KIDO is using reserved material to make more products.
After nearly three years of COVID-19 pandemic, the market’s demand for mooncakes this year increased by 20-30 per cent.
The group’s mooncakes this year have been sold since August in both online and offline channels including nearly 600,000 retail shops and big e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Tiki and Shopee.
In addition to traditional flavours, the group’s R&D created products with special new flavours.
