Intracom Invest and Phuong Dong Medical Complex has kicked off the ground-breaking ceremony of the Phuong Dong Asahi Nursing Home in Ha Noi.
The nursing home, spanning 7,000 sq.m in Co Nhue, Bac Tu Liem District, was built at an investment of nearly VND800 billion (US$34.7 million), designed in modern art-decor style, providing a variety of services including inpatient care of the elderly or those with underlying or serious illnesses, and semi-boarding care for busy families or the elderly who want world-class nursing care services.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Cong Minh, General Director of Phuong Dong Medical Complex Company said: “Viet Nam is one of the countries with the fastest population ageing rate in the world."
"In urban areas like Ha Noi, the tradition of elderly people receiving care from family members is becoming increasingly difficult due to the pressures of urban life. These factors have prompted us to make the decision to build the nursing home according to the Japanese standard nursing model in order to improve quality of life and provide comprehensive care for the elderly.”
Phan Van Hung, vice chairman of the Vietnam Association of Elderly, said the home would blow a breath of life into the living space and service quality of private nursing homes in Viet Nam.
The home was built with 5-star equipment and facilities, experienced medical experts, nutritionists and nurses, a strict care process, dedicated service and a green campus. They will build a Japanese rooftop garden of 1,200sq.m, creating an ideal space for the elderly to exercise, relax and enjoy fresh air.
They also included an Asian-European restaurant, cafe, library, reading room, music listening room, cinema and common living spaces for the elderly.
Phuong Dong Asahi not only packages all the health and spiritual care needs for the elderly in the leading resort complex in the country but also creates a community of culture, art and science, ideal living space and first-class comfort - where children and grandchildren pay respects to their parents and where the elderly can live and enjoy their lives in happiness.
Nguyen Thanh Viet, chairman of Phuong Dong Medical Complex Company, said the home would be built in one year and is expected to welcome the first guests from July 2023. — VNS
