HSBC Vietnam has named Oanh Tran as its new head of human resources.
She was previously director of corporate banking of wholesale banking in the south, and has been a senior executive for many years.
Her appointment increases the ratio of women in HSBC Vietnam’s senior management team, supporting the bank’s strategy of developing female talent and promoting more local employees to senior managerial roles.
Oanh began her career with HSBC in 2004 as the project manager in charge of setting up the Hanoi branch.
In her new role, she is expected to continue improving HSBC Vietnam’s people strategy, building a world-class generation of bankers and contributing to the growth of the bank in Vietnam. — VNS
