PVCFC filled five cargo ships with a total volume of more than 100 thousand tonnes of urea, of which two set off to Australia with a volume of more than 30,000 tonnes.
HÀ NỘI — The PetroVietnam Cà Mau Fertiliser JSC (PVCFC), stock code DCM, announced it has exported 100,000 tonnes of urea fertiliser during the first days of the Lunar New Year.
PVCFC successfully sent out five cargo ships with a total volume of more than 100 thousand tonnes of urea, of which two went to Australia – one of the most demanding fertiliser markets in the world, with a volume of more than 30,000 tonnes.
According to a PVCFC representative, after successfully exporting these two ships to Australia, PVCFC will have the opportunity to achieve the highest rating (Level 1) for imported fertilisers into what they call this "difficult" market.
Previously, from the beginning of 2024, PVCFC was officially present in Australia and was also the first enterprise in Việt Nam to receive a certificate to export bulk fertiliser, bringing the main product, granular urea, to the Australian market.
In addition to proactively seeking opportunities to export to foreign markets and boost revenue, the company also gradually improved the quality of transportation and services, ensuring the best quality of goods when reaching customers.
Currently, world fertiliser prices are high and are predicted to continue to increase globally by 3-5 per cent in 2025. Therefore, exporting 100 thousand tonnes of fertiliser during the current low domestic season would be a positive signal for PVCFC's export activities in 2025.
PVCFC's product range covers both single and mixed fertilisers, organic and inorganic fertiliser and microbiological lines.
In 2025, Việt Nam's fertiliser industry is forecast to continue to face many challenges, however the company says it still will retain its yearly production target of 1.5 million tonnes of fertilisers of all kinds and effectively operate three factories, including the Cà Mau Fertiliser Factory, the Cà Mau NPK Factory and the Korea-Việt Nam Fertiliser Factory.
To achieve these goals, PVCFC will implement sustainable development goals – ESG and build the Cà Mau Smart Fertiliser Factory. The company will also promote investment and effectively manage its investment portfolio, continue to expand production and business scale and strengthen marketing and distribution networks. — VNS
