Hanwha Life Vietnam continues to cooperate with the Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients of HCM City in implementing the community support propramme.

This year, Hanwha Life Vietnam sponsors more than 9,500 health insurance cards to poor people in 8 provinces and cities across the country. The total cost is estimated at VND2 billion (87,500 USD).

The programme was officially launched from March 22 by the official signing ceremony between Hanwha Life Vietnam and the Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients of HCM City. Accordingly, 9,500 health insurance cards will be given to poor people at Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Dak Nong, Kon Tum, Quang Tri and Ca Mau.

Right at the signing ceremony a total of 310 health insurance cards worth more than VND186 million (US$8,130) were handed to disadvantaged families in HCM City’s Tan Binh District.

This is the fourth year in a row that Hanwha Life Vietnam and the association are helping poor people get access to healthcare.

In the last three years the insurer provided more than VND6.3 billion (US$275,620) for the programme, benefitting 27,260 poor people in 14 cities and provinces.

It has also carried out various other charity activities across the country such as building new houses for needy families, schools and medical centres at a cost of VND22 billion (US$962,500) since 2013, proving its strong commitment to the community.

“By sponsoring the programme to donate health insurance cards, Hanwha Life Vietnam hopes to help poor people have a better life.”

In collaboration with the association, the programme, part of long-term activities in line with Hanwha Group’s cultural traditions, has been successfully implemented for several years now.
