Nearly nine years of operations in Việt Nam, Hanwha Life Việt Nam has demonstrated its commitment to making sustained positive contributions to the local community through various initiatives.
Hanwha Life Việt Nam in collaboration with the Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients in HCM City on Wednesday (February 28) signed a co-operation agreement for a free healthcare card donation project that aims to improve living conditions for the poor in Nghệ An, Cà Mau, Kon Tum, and Lâm Đồng provinces.
The VNĐ 1.4 billion (US$61,500) programme will donate a total of 8,149 health insurance cards to people in the four provinces.
At the signing ceremony, more than 4,500 health insurance cards were given to disadvantaged households in the central province of Nghệ An.
Hanwha Life Việt Nam has been implementing the project for five consecutive years since 2014.

Between 2014 and 2017 Hanwha Life Việt Nam had donated more than 37,500 health insurance cards, 30 houses and 360 gifts totally worth more than VNĐ 9.4 billion ($413,000) to poor people in 14 cities and provinces.
In November last year it provided $100,000 to build a new preventive medical centre in Lãng Ngâm in Bắc Kạn Province’s Ngân Sơn District.
In 2015 the firm had donated money to build two preventive medical centres in Hòa Bình Province.
Hanwha Life Việt Nam provided USD 100,000 to build a new preventive medical centre at Lãng Ngâm in Bắc Kạn Province’s Ngân Sơn District last November.
Hanwha Life Việt Nam has also made efforts to improve learning conditions and foster the development of younger generations.
In the last few years it has sponsored the construction of many schools and houses for poor people, including Xóm Ong Primary School in Nam Phong Commune and A Kindergarten in Cuối Hạ Commune, both in Hòa Bình Province. Since 2012, Hanwha Life Việt Nam has donated over 160 charity houses at Mekong Delta and nearly 20 provinces nationwide.
Last year, Hanwha Life Việt Nam was named among the Top 10 Sustainable Businesses in Việt Nam by the Việt Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This achievement is strong proof of the firm’s unceasing efforts to achieve sustainable development in Việt Nam, not only through its business but also through various community projects.
Hanwha Life Việt Nam was the proud winner of the 2015 Corporate Social Responsibility Award given by the Ministry of Planning and Investment together with South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
