The Han River-Hyundai Automobile Service Centre in co-operation with its partners has launched the first vocational training courses for automobile technology and automation engineering in Da Nang.

The centre, which opened in Cam Le District last week, covers 700sq.m with total investment of VND5 billion (US$217,000) and space for 120 students each day.

Pham Cong Hoa, deputy director of the centre, said the centre would help students gain practical experience and skills before working at automobile plants nationwide.

He said students would study and practice skills in areas such as car electricity, chassis and engines with advanced technology.

The centre and partners will introduce the first Germany-produced paint booth for practical courses and provide paint services for customers in the city.

The Viet Nam Automobile Manufacturing Association (VAMA) said the country’s automobile industry, which includes 18 foreign-invested and 38 domestic invested companies, produces 300,000 cars and creates 80,000 jobs each year.

In 2017, representatives of 20 automobile businesses and Da Nang agreed on the establishment of practical courses at automobile factories for students in central Viet Nam.

The training courses were launched to supply high-quality manpower for domestic and joint-venture car projects in central Viet Nam beginning next year. — VNS
