KIEN GIANG (Biz Hub) — Anh Rang Group Joint Stock Company (AR Group), one of the biggest distributors of eyeglasses in Viet Nam, has unveiled a new policy under which it rather the retailers will issue warranties to customers.

At a meeting with clients this week in Phu Quoc Island the company said that from September they can directly receive warranties, thanks to its co-operation with producers.

In many other countries, the group's distributors hand over the warranties to retailers who then issue them to customers.

Ngo Thi Thu Thuy, chairman of AR, said the new policy would help reduce the large number of fake glasses sold in the market since many shops sell fake glasses along with authentic ones, and not all customers can recognise them.

With a direct warranty from the distributor, retailers would no longer dare to sell fakes, she explained.

AR, which has been in business for 20 years, has more than 400 retailers who sell more than 90 brands of sun glasses, eyeglasses, and contact lenses.

At the meeting the company also said it would introduce HD technology in the last quarter. — VNS
