Digiworld Corporation on Wednesday announced revenue and profit targets of VND26.3 trillion (US$1.2 billion) and VND800 billion ($35 million) for this year, increases of 25 per cent and 22 per cent from 2021.
At the annual general meeting on Wednesday, it said the main business segments would remain mobile phones followed by laptops, office equipment and consumer goods.
To achieve the targets, the company plans to maintain its position as a pioneer and leader in exploring the market.
It will also seek to find promising products to diversify as that home appliances and many other businesses also have great potential.
It said it would continue to improve corporate governance to reach international standards and enhance risk management, control over financial management, accounting and auditing, transparency in its operations, and the role of independent directors.
It also announced plans to pay cash dividends for 2021 at a rate of 10 per cent and make a rights issuance at a rate of 80 stocks to 100 held. The expected issuance time is this quarter.
Last year was challenging for everyone, but yet Digiworld reported impressive numbers. Its revenues topped VND20.9 trillion ($916 million) while profit after tax was VND657 billion ($29 million), up 67 per cent and 146 per cent.
Established in 1997, Digiworld has been a distribution and market development service provider for 30 world-famous brands in Viet Nam. — VNS
