Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarket systems have for the first time tested the "Black Friday" concept popularised in the US by offering huge discounts on many essential products, making for a jubilant shopping experience and higher savings than ever before for customers.
At Co.opmart and Co.opXtra stores these days, customers can see many boards listing discounts of 50 per cent on many products without attaching any billing conditions.
So the supermarkets attract a lot of customers, especially to sections selling discounted products like detergent, shampoo, body wash, dish washing liquid, and floor cleaning liquid.
Considered to be a unique shopping event, the first Black Friday titled “Six enthusiastic shopping days” at Co.opmart and Co.opXtra is being trialled with more than 60,000 essential items from November 21 to 26 at all of their stores around the country.
Under the programme, the supermarkets are slashing the prices of many products by half, including detergent powders, shampoos, dishwashing liquids, body washes, electric kettles, kitchen utensils, stainless steel cookware, non-stick pans, men’s and women’s clothes, gas stoves, mops, bed covers, blankets, underwear, toilet bleaches, toothbrushes, Sapporo beer, dried beef, Pepsi, Kinh Do cakes, and food containers.
The number of customers visiting Co.opmart and Co.opXtra during the weekend of November 24-26 is expected to be three times the normal rate.
During the three days Co.opmart and Co.opXtra will also offer the “Super Incentives” promotion programme for the third time during “the Month to Express Gratitude to Loyal Customers in 2017.”
The programme offers super huge discounts on many products. For instance, cooking oil, detergent powders and liquids, dishwashing liquids, super fast kettles, rice cookers, plastic cabinets and condensed milk and instant coffee products have their prices discounted by up to VND700,000. — VNS
