At Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarkets, nearly three weeks after the “2017 Green Consumption” promotion programme began, the number of people shopping for “green” products is still very high.

From now until June 25 besides cutting the prices of many essential items, Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarkets nation-wide will continue to offer discounts on many other products like fresh foods, fruits and vegetables and processed and packaged foods.

For instance, fruits and vegetable such as pumpkins, white cabbage, and Taiwanese guava are sold at a discount of 15 per cent, as is minced pork, mackerel (without head) at VND199,000 per kilogramme, ready-to-cook black snakehead fish at just VND79,000 a kilogramme, a 500g pack of Hai Nam’s one-sun threadfin breams at VND64,500, or a discount of 30,000.

A pack of two 900ml Nam Ngu 3-in-1 fish sauce bottles is not only discounted but also comes with an attached gift of five Omachi instant noodle packs.

A 5kg bag of Xuan Hong high-quality fragrant rice is sold at VND125,500, a 1.2kg pack of Knorr seasoning made from tenderloin meat, bone and marrow is sold at VND84,000 a pack in addition to a gift of a basket, and Safoco large-sized noodles cost VND17,800 for a pack of 400g.

This weekend (June 24 and 25) Co.opmart and Co.opXtra will offer for free a total of 90,000 gifts to customers shopping with Co.opmart cards.

Customers with bills worth VND500,000 and above will get a 1.8 litre bottle of Co.opmart peppermint scented floor cleansing liquid.

For VND1 million and above, the gift will be a 4 litre bottle of lemon-scented dishwashing liquid.
