Co.opmart’s giant gift box comes to Da Nang to celebrate the 22nd birthday of the supermarket, attracting large and excited crowds. — VNS Photo Thien Thu

On the evening of April 28 a huge Co.opmart gift box that brings unexpected experiences and valuable gifts turned up in Da Nang, attracting thousands of people.

Since the unique event, held to celebrate the 22nd birthday of the supermarket chain, coincided with national holidays, the Dragon Bridge area was filled with excited crowds.

"I had followed the itinerary of the Co.opmart gift box, so I was looking forward to engage with it in Da Nang,” Hai, a local resident, said excitedly.

“And I'm really surprise that the activities here are completely different from elsewhere.

“I experienced a short but interesting tour. I laughed a lot and received many gifts that have both spiritual and material value. Co.opmart is a true friend of everyone, every home.”

Do Quoc Huy, marketing director of Saigon Co.op, said the last stop for Co.opmart’s giant gift box would be at HCM City’s Van Hanh Mall (District 10) on May 5.

Meanwhile, Co.opmart stores are still offering discounts on more than 200 product lines when customers buy the second, fourth, or sixth item of the same product of 50-70 per cent, with many items sold being at just VND1,000, VND5,000 and VND6,000.

The price of a 3.8kg bottle of Lix concentrated detergent liquid is slashed from VND152,200 to just VND5,000 when a customer buys a second item; the price of a 30x30cm multi-purpose towel is down from VND17,000 to VND1,000 for the second item; the price of a 450g bag of Lifebuoy hand washing liquid is down from VND46,000 to only VND23,000 for the second item.

Besides, the second item of a 20cm SHINE frying pan will be sold at only VND60,000, a 1 litre carton of FLEX unsweetened fresh milk at VND18,300 and a 132g pack of waffle at VND6,800.
