CME Solar Investment and Vista Global collaborate on rooftop solar energy in Việt Nam

CME Solar Investment Joint Stock Company (CME) and Vista Global, a subsidiary of Samsung C&T, have inked a joint venture agreement to expedite rooftop solar power development in Việt Nam.

This move underscores the shared principles of both in promoting sustainable energy solutions and supporting Việt Nam’s shift towards a low-carbon economy.

The newly formed joint venture, named CME-Vista, is set to leverage expertise, resources and technology to drive solar power in Việt Nam and accelerate the adoption of clean energy solutions nationwide.

Based on experiences from investing in and implementing renewable energy projects with a collective capacity of 5,000MWp globally, CME-Vista has established a robust foundation of financial and technical capabilities, with the aim of significantly enhancing the deployment of rooftop solar systems across the country.

By combining Vista Global and Samsung C&T’s financial, engineering and the latest energy technology with CME’s extensive local deployment expertise as one of Việt Nam’s premier renewable energy investment firms, this collaboration seeks to deliver top-tier solar energy solutions that effectively cater to Việt Nam’s increasing energy demands.

This agreement underscores the shared dedication of the two parties to sustainability and environmental management, aligning with Việt Nam's collective goal of attaining net zero emissions by 2050. It also supports global initiatives to fight against climate change and advance the development of renewable energy.

During the investment promotion conference for green growth in HCM City, a Samsung Company representative expressed a strong willingness to collaborate with the city in fostering rooftop solar power initiatives. Their aim is to transform HCM City High-Tech Park into the first net zero industrial park.

Established in 1938, Samsung C&T Corporation is a renowned global conglomerate encompassing four key business divisions: engineering and construction, trade and investment, fashion and resorts. Over the years, the company has evolved into a prominent construction powerhouse, spearheading notable projects such as the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur and the Incheon Grand Bridge in Incheon.
