HCM CITY (Biz Hub) – In a special three-day celebration of Co.opmart's 20th anniversary, Zone A in the September 23 Park will be the site of traditional and modern games, as well as promotional events of leading consumer brands.
Vo Hoang Anh, Marketing Director of Saigon Co.op, which has 82 Co.opmart outlets, said they are co-operating with about 50 well-known Vietnamese brands to organise "The Co.opmart Customers Festival 2016."
He said the festival is the company's way of thanking customers who have trusted and supported the supermarket chain over the last 20 years and to celebrate the Liberation Day holiday.
The festival has something for everyone. Children can see the Dutch dairy farming model of Frieshland Campina and enjoy the products of dairy firms Abbott and Vinamilk. Women can study safe vegetable farming models, browse through beauty products at the Unilever Park, avail of sharp discounts on Supor brand kitchen products and look into special items at Masan Town. Men can play games at Sapporo and Heineken booths. For the youth, Coca Cola Truck, Boomerang clips and a Coke break area are likely to be sites to congregate, while an impressive Pepsi booth will offer "surprise" games.
The festival will also have a food area where visitors can taste 20 dishes from the country's three regions and buy essential products at good prices.
A music nite on April 24 night will be broadcast live on HTV9 channel from 20h30. The concert will feature top stars like My Tam, Quang Dung, Uyen Linh, Ha Anh Tuan and Phuong Linh. The MTV Group, singers and dance troupes will also participate in the programme, acting out the "20 nam tan tam phuc vu" (20 years of devoted service) journey of Co.opmart, which connected closely with the process of innovation and development of the city's commercial sector.
The first Co.opmart – on Cong Quynh Street in District 1 - opened in 1996, and has steadily expanded to 82 outlets nationwide, serving more than 300,000 visitors and shoppers everyday. - VNS
