HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Civil Engineering Construction Corporation No 4 (CIENCO 4), was awarded two prizes by the European Business Assembly (EBA), on July 2 in Stresa city, Italy.
CIENCO4 won the award for "Best Enterprise" while its Director General Le Ngoc Hoa also got the "Best Manager of the Year" award in a ceremony which was held at EBA's Summit of Leaders.
According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Italy, the certification, given every five years, was awarded to CIENCO4 on EBA's evaluation of their professional services and the quality of management, technology and construction in recent years.
The correspondent also said there were 46 international enterprises and individuals operating in social, cultural, health-care, trade, construction and educational fields who received EBA prizes in this occasion.
EBA Director General John Netting said that the ceremony not only aimed to honour outstanding businesses but also offered a chance for business leaders from Europe, Asia, Africa and Middle East to meet and seek partners.
According to EBA, they have developed a prestigious and ongoing awards programme to recognise the hard work of politicians, businessmen and women, scientists and artists, and those whose work helps to further the economic, scientific and cultural development of society.
The summit of leaders was established in 2000 in Oxford, Britain.
In recent years, more than 6,000 delegates from 56 countries have participated and hundreds of innovative projects have been awarded at its summits, which have been held in Moscow, London, Vienna and Barcelona apart from Dublin and Montreux. This year, the summit was held in London, Oxford, Vienna, Kiev and Stresa. — VNS
