Central Retail is providing local customers with regional specialty products during events which are under-way from Friday to Sunday at its GO!, Big C and Tops Market supermarkets.
The event, called Le hoi Ca Song Da (Da River Fish Festival) aimed to serve the local customers' peak shopping demand for the upcoming Tet holiday and help promote the brands of regional specialties from local suppliers, Central Retail said in its statement.
Thirteen famous Da River fish specialties that have obtained VietGAP certificates are being showcased at these events such as Da River black carp, Da River trout and Da River snakehead fish.
Central Retail expects that about one tonne of Da River fish will be sold at these events, thereby contributing to promoting the brands of fish specialties in modern retail channels.
Previously, in 2018, the Da River Fish Week was also held at 15 Big C supermarkets in the north, which facilitated the expansion of the market for Da River fish from Hoa Binh and Son La provinces. — VNS
