Canon Marketing Vietnam announced on Wednesday that this year it would focus more on businesses to meet the burgeoning demand in the segment.
“More solution packages for enterprises operating in various sectors will be launched this year to help them optimise operations,” Le Thanh Hang, assistant director of image communication products (ICP) and corporate communications, said.
Last year the company achieved fruitful results to remain the leader of the digital camera market with a 65 per cent share.
Last year was also the first in 15 years that Canon held the leading position in the laser printer market.
On Wednesday Canon Marketing Vietnam launched two new products as part of its strategy to target the enterprise segment.
They are the PIXMA TS707 inkjet printer targeting small and medium-sized businesses and home users and EOS RP, the second addition to its new EOS R range of full-frame interchangeable-lens mirrorless cameras.
Hiroshi Yokota, CEO of Canon Marketing Vietnam, said at the launch: “Small and medium-sized enterprises are the backbone of Viet Nam’s economy. We have seen a movement here in the past few years towards more diverse printing needs. Users need to be able to print both documents and photos with high print quality, high volumes and at high speeds. We are extremely proud of the way Canon’s flexible range of inkjet printers meets these challenges and is trusted by Vietnamese businesses and families.”
The EOS RP camera is set to meet the demands of discerning travelers, businesspersons and even filmmakers in Viet Nam.
Powered by Canon’s EOS R System, it is equipped with the RF lens mount introduced in the EOS R.
The RF mount sports a short flange focal distance of 20mm and was designed with the intention to allow more possibilities in lens design and innovation.
The prices of the printer and camera start at VND4.2 million (US$184) and VND38 million ($1,670). — VNS
