A new international bilingual schools, EMASI, officially opened on Thursday in HCM City with the aim of becoming the leading bilingual school in the country.
The school, which will enroll students in August, will initially operate in HCM City with two campuses, Nam Long in District 7 and Van Phuc in Thu Duc District.
EMASI is a group of international bilingual schools with American-standard facilities that delivers the Vietnamese national curriculum and adopts modern teaching methods from developed countries.
Different from the conventional didactic approach used in most public schools, EMASI pedagogy has been completely revamped. It is student-centred, has a thematic and topic approach, and includes project-based learning and teamwork as well as autonomous learning.
The school equips students with the ability to become self-motivated learners.
Both Vietnamese and English are used in the schools. This expresses the school’s clear goal that students will master the Vietnamese language and become as proficient in English.
Apart from the academic expectations, the schools strongly focus on art and physical education because health is the basic foundation of life, and art helps develop aesthetic taste, promotes creativity and enriches life.
The investor in EMASI is Khai Sang Joint Stock Company, which has a strong background in the education sector.
The company is founder of another international school called Renaissance Saigon. — VNS
