The Da Nang-based beverage can manufacturer, Crown company, plans to expand its capacity to 1.6 billion cans in the fourth quarter of 2017.
The company met with city leadership in February, stating that the products will meet the increasing demand of local customers in Viet Nam.
The plant was built on 3.6ha in Lien Chieu Industrial Park with a capacity of 730 million two-piece 330ml cans per year in the first stage in 2013, with total investment of US$40 million. It is Crown’s fourth beverage can plant in Viet Nam with registered investment capital of $70 million.
According to latest reports, the capital city has attracted 423 foreign-invested projects worth $3.68 billion to date. — VNS
