Belgian brewer Anheuser - Busch InBev and the Foreign Trade University organised a contest called ‘In Your Eyes’ to spread the message of drinking responsibly to the community, especially Generation Z.

The contest on June 9 sought to elicit the best ideas from university students on spreading the message.

According to the World Health Organization, alcohol consumption in Viet Nam is quite high compared with other countries in the region, and drink driving is one of the main causes of road accidents in the country.

Truong Van Toan, head of AB InBev’s legal and external affairs, Southeast Asia, said: “Consumption of alcoholic beverages should be limited to a moderate amount.”

The contest’s message is an important part of his company’s sustainable development strategies, he added.

Founded in 1366, AB InBev is headquartered in Leuven and has branches in many countries and 150,000 employees.

It owns more than 500 beer brands in 150 countries including Budweiser, Corona, Beck's, Leffe, and Hoegaarden. — VNS
