AstraZeneca Vietnam has been named one of Viet Nam’s top 100 best places to work.

This is the fourth consecutive year that the company has been recognised in this employer ranking by Anphabe, a consulting firm providing employer brand and happy workforce solutions.

Out of 100 companies honoured and 515 companies surveyed in 2022, AstraZeneca was ranked number 15 overall, and number four in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Equipment and Healthcare Services category.

“We are proud that our entrepreneurial, collaborative, and empowering workplace culture is recognised by our employees and the award organisers. Along with our vision to bring life-changing medicines and vaccines to millions of people in Viet Nam, we want our team members – our biggest asset – to realise the full breath of their potential and will continue to build AstraZeneca as a best place to work,” said Nitin Kapoor, chairman and general director, AstraZeneca Vietnam and Asia Area Frontier Markets.

AstraZeneca currently employs over 500 people in Viet Nam, many of whom have worked with the company for more than 10, or even 25 years. Colleagues frequently receive opportunities for professional growth and development at both the country and regional levels to make a larger impact.

In the company’s latest independently run internal survey, 96 per cent of the employees voted that AstraZeneca is a great place to work, with 97 per cent saying they feel “inspired to do [their] best work,” and 99 per cent believing in the company’s future direction.

AstraZeneca’s focus on achieving equity and inclusion has been expressed through not only its commitment to broad and equitable access to its COVID-19 vaccine during the pandemic, but also through the demographics of its workforce. In Viet Nam, more than half of employees as well as the leadership team are female.

AstraZeneca is a global, science-led biopharmaceutical company that focuses on the discovery, development, and commercialisation of prescription medicines in oncology; rare diseases and bio-pharmaceuticals, including cardiovascular; renal and metabolism; and respiratory and immunology.

Based in Cambridge, UK, AstraZeneca operates in over 100 countries and its innovative medicines are used by millions of patients worldwide. — VNS
