AstraZeneca Vietnam has recently been recognised with two Vietnam Excellence awards, adding to the company’s impressive list of achievements as they celebrate almost three decades of accompanying Việt Nam’s health sector.
While Nitin Kapoor, Chairman and General Director at AstraZeneca Vietnam and Asia Area Frontier Markets, received the Visionary Leader Award, the company received another important recognition for its Workplace Culture in the HR Excellence category.
Kapoor is a British business leader with 25 years of extensive experience across the finance, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. Since his takeover of AstraZeneca Vietnam in 2018, he has led the Company into a new phase of growth as an industry leader with holistic and meaningful contributions to Việt Nam’s health system and economy.
“AstraZeneca Vietnam is honoured to receive these two awards, which are of great encouragement to us as we continue to grow rapidly and contribute meaningfully to both pandemic response and healthcare sector development," said Kapoor.
AstraZeneca Vietnam has successfully transformed its business and strengthened its workplace culture, generating outstanding performance despite industry challenges. The company has championed partnerships with the Vietnamese Government and healthcare partners on various meaningful initiatives to reduce the non-communicable diseases burden and promote sustainability, while supporting the country’s pandemic response with its vaccine supply.
AstraZeneca Vietnam’s workplace culture is also known to be highly entrepreneurial, innovative, diverse and inclusive. It has been in Anphabe’s Vietnam Top 100 Places to Work since 2018 – a result that is frequently confirmed by its stellar internal survey that is conducted twice a year.
Vietnam Excellence is an award programme organised by Anphabe, in coordination with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AmCham), European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) and the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AusCham) to honour leaders and organisations with excellent achievements in transforming business through talent and workplace development. The outstanding leaders and companies have been selected from three rigorous rounds of selection, from submission appraisal to employee survey, and advisors’ assessment. — VNS
