Bamboo Airways and Vietnam Airlines have signed comprehensive cooperation agreements with the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai at the province’s investment promotion conference 2022 held in Pleiku City on Saturday.
Accordingly, Bamboo Airways will co-ordinate and support Gia Lai Province to realise important goals, including strengthening the promotion of new direct flights to Gia Lai from key markets and maintaining available routes effectively; research and propose to develop potential international commercial routes to/from Gia Lai and pilot charter flights in the safe adaptation phase.
Gia Lai will actively work closely with Bamboo Airways to regularly exchange information on tourism development plans, mechanisms and policies, creating favourable conditions for the airline to operate new routes to Gia Lai, supporting the promotion of tourism products and services as well as jointly building tourism programmes and products to serve customers.
The agreement is expected to fully exploit the resources to maximise the advantages of the province, thereby contributing to enhancing the exchange of visitors to Gia Lai by air, in the context that Viet Nam has fully reopened the domestic and international tourism industry since March 15.
Under the agreement between Vietnam Airlines and Gia Lai for the 2022-26 period, the airline would strengthen the promotion of the destination's image, improve the efficiency of investment and tourism promotion activities, contributing to the province’s socio-economic development. At the same time, Gia Lai would promote the image and services of Vietnam Airlines to local people, encouraging the use of the airline’s services.
In addition, Vietnam Airlines and airlines belonging to Vietnam Airlines Group including Vasco and Pacific Airlines will create favourable conditions for the province’s units to use its products and services at preferential prices.
With the expanding potential of Gia Lai tourism and Vietnam Airlines, the agreement will open up good opportunities for promoting the province's destinations, tourism, and commercial investment, and at the same time building a long-term strategic foundation and creating resilience for the province to meet the requirements of integration and development. The co-operation also affirms the role and position of Vietnam Airlines' brand to domestic and international tourists. — VNS
