Airbus Commercial Aircraft last year reached a new record of 688 aircraft deliveries to 82 customers.
The figure was more than 8 per cent higher than the previous record of 635 set in 2015.
As of the end of last year, Airbus had an overall backlog of orders of 6,874 aircraft valued at US$1,018 billion at list price.
Last year, the A320 Family aircraft production rate was the highest ever, reinforcing the competitive edge of this best-selling single-aisle jetliner product line, with 545 deliveries. — VNS
