AIA Life Insurance Co Ltd (Vietnam) on Wednesday launched a new life insurance product called “Healthier 100” that provides financial support to customers from the early stages of cancer to 100 years of age.
According to statistics from the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organisation, Viet Nam has nearly 165,000 new cases each year.
The high cost of treatment and late diagnosis mean the mortality rate is constantly increasing.
“Healthier 100” provides financial assistance to customers when diagnosed with cancer and other serious diseases at the earliest stage.
It covers 23 serious diseases at early stages and 45 critical illnesses at serious stages.
Policy holders can choose to pay over 12, 15 or 20 years.
The company has a free call centre where doctors offer consultation on cancers and other serious diseases and operators answer questions related to making claims.
Wayne Besant, AIA Vietnam CEO, said: “Today, along with the increasing development of medicine, the sooner the cancer diagnosis, the higher the survival rate. That is why AIA Vietnam introduces the product ‘Healthier 100’ to help customers with financial resources get cancers and other serious diseases treated at the early stage. — VNS
