AEON Vietnam has been recognised as one of the "Best Companies To Work For In Asia" by the region's leading HR magazine, HR Asia, on October 8.

The award is based on employee surveys and independent research. Their employees’ appreciation of the company always putting employees above profits is a particular highlight for the Japanese retailer.

The award is even more meaningful in 2021, as COVID-19 restrictions have impacted the economic outlook of all businesses, including AEON Vietnam.

Since the start of the pandemic, AEON Vietnam has made every effort to support their workforce, ensuring that the employment, income and health of their 4,000 employees are prioritised, despite the company facing reduced revenues and profit. Simultaneously, the company has maintained a friendly working environment of understanding and empathy.

AEON Vietnam decided not to focus on short-term business benefits but instead on the physical and mental health and safety of all employees, as well as on training and personal development.

“The safety of our customers and employees is our top priority. In particular, AEON People is an irreplaceable asset and an important factor in all activities of the company,” said General Director of AEON Vietnam Furusawa Yasuyuki.

Despite the pandemic, AEON Vietnam is still focused on nurturing its human resources and investing in its employees in the long term. The company always encourages employees to contribute ideas and new solutions, not only during the pandemic but as the company adapts to the new normal.

AEON Vietnam has maintained training activities through various channels. This is not only to enhance the learning experience of AEON staff but to build an active learning culture throughout the company. This ensures that employees are fully equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to prepare for the post-pandemic recovery period.

“This is not the final goal, but it once again proves the efforts of AEON people in creating the best working environment in the retail industry in Viet Nam,” added the representative of AEON Vietnam. — VNS
